I am Hanifa Pilvar, a Research Fellow in Health Economics at Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences- University of Oxford where I work on socio-economic factors contributing to preterm birth and the long-term consequences of preterm birth on labor market outcomes. Additionally, I am actively engaged as a collaborator at The Health Foundation and serve as an honorary research fellow at UCL, Institute of Child Health where I contribute to Mental Health Admissions to Paediatric Wards Study (MAPS).
I received a Ph.D. in ecnonomics from the School of Economics and Finance, Queen Mary University of London in 2023. During my doctoral studies, my research centered around understanding physician behavior and incentives, as well as the implications of physician shortages and potential strategies for mitigation.
